Results HDHL-INTIMIC cofunded call 2017
The HDHL-INTIMIC cofunded call on "Interrelation of the Intestinal Microbiome, Diet and Health" was launched in January 2017 by Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. 66 proposals were submitted at the first stage, and 28 consortia were invited to the full proposal phase. After revision of the full-proposals, 11 proposals were selected for funding. These 2 to 3 year projects are requesting a total of EUR 9 578 381, including top-up funding from the European Commission.
Early 2018, 45 research teams from 8 countries involved in 11 research projects will start working for the upcoming years to gather new insights about the cause-and-effect relationships between diet, intestinal microbiome and health. They will collaborate with 8 additional research teams with own resources. The projects should contribute to the development of new strategies, health promoting products and the prevention of lifestyle-related chronic diseases.
The call is the first joint funding action of the ERA-Net Cofund "Interrelation of the INtesTInal MICrobiome, Diet and Health" (HDHL-INTIMIC). The upcoming additional joint action of HDHL-INTIMIC will be the implementation of a "Knowledge Platform on Food, Diet, Intestinal Microbiomics and Health". More details on the research projects and the new HDHL-INTIMIC action will follow soon on the JPI HDHL website
