Circular Economy Stakeholder Conference

Two years after the adoption of EU Circular Economy Package in December 2015, more than half of the initiatives included in the Action Plan have been delivered. To discuss upcoming deliverables, explore new areas of action and share the first achievements of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform, the European Commission (EC) and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will host a Circular Economy Stakeholder Conference entitled "Delivering on the Circular Economy – What's Next?", in Brussels on 20 and 21 February 2018.

Organised back-to-back with the EU Industry Day, this edition of the Circular Economy Stakeholder Conference will bring together industry, workers, consumers, public authorities, NGOs, and citizens to make the transition a truly joint endeavor.

The first day, hosted by the EC (Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG-GROW), and Directorate-General for Environment (DG-ENV) will concentrate on the progress made in the implementation of the Circular Economy Action Plan.

The second day, hosted by the EESC, will be largely dedicated to discussing plans on promoting the dissemination of good practices via knowledge sharing and dialogue. This second day, as successfully experienced in the 1st annual conference, will adopt a participatory approach.

The first day of the conference will be webstreamed.
